Hello. I want to quote a discussion in the book Bnei Aharon by Rabbi Chaim Vital, that discusses reincarnation. The quote is too long for this arena, so I will bring its main points and ask your opinion.

The question he raised was: If a male is reincarnated as a woman (as is known, souls are reincarnated in bodies) is the woman obligated in all the prohibitions obligatory for a man, such as not cutting the edges of the hair, etc., or not?

Maybe the transvestites took the theory that there is a man/woman trapped in their bodies from this?

What do you make of the possibility that our sages knew of a phenomenon which the gentile scientists did not, that the soul of one sex could get trapped in the body of the other sex?

I will conclude by wishing you a happy Purim and that by fulfilling the commandment of erasing the memory of Amalek, men, women, and children, may we rise to the highest levels of spirituality and morality.

Hello.

This is another example of the empty words with which religious people deal.

Instead of discussing substantial issues like the status of women, the relationship to the Other and the stranger, which legal system is appropriate and befitting the State of Israel, they deal with stupid and evil questions.

But this is the way of religious people who do not honestly search the souls of the Torah and Halacha; they sail off to horizons which they have no knowledge of.

From your blessings we can see the bitter fruit which grows off the books of “Kabbalah.”

Sincerely,

Daat Emet
