What do you have to say about the papyrus (Ipuwer) which was discovered in Egypt and which describes the plagues and the exodus from Egypt? In all the universities they hide this so people will not believe!
We have naught but the teachings of Moses!
Hello,
Why do you suppose universities hide this? Isn’t all your information about that papyrus from the researchers in the universities? We would suggest you ask your question of papyri researchers (papyrologists) at the universities.
To make it easier for you, see the translation of the papyrus with explanations at the Hofesh site.
In addition, from your words it seems that you confuse historical research and theological debate. The historical research focuses on whether the people of Israel were or were not in Egypt, did they emigrate or were they expelled from Egypt? These are historical questions which have nothing to do with the belief that G-d gave the Torah or anything else.
As for your words, “We have naught but the teachings of Moses!” The precise sentence which is appropriate for religious people is “We have naught but the teachings of the Babylonian Sages who lived in Sura, Nahardea, and Pumbedita, under the reign of the Persians, who believed in demons and evil spirits.”
Sincerely,
Daat Emet
