After reading an article in HaAretz by Tamar Rotem, “Mom and Dad are torn apart,” parents whose children have returned to religion decided to act and hand out flyers in Holon, aided by our organization, Daat Emet. It was hoped that the flyers, headlined “The voice of parental victims” would arouse the general public and the relevant authorities to stop this plague. Many calls were received, particularly from those who have returned (or, more accurately, fallen into) religion, many curses and much abuse, but one mother, a resident of Holon, asked an innocent and honest question which deserves an answer. We forwarded it to parents, and present here the question and the parents’ answers.
